Attention friends!! … the artwork for Jablká & Doom Vol.2 (Apples and Doom Vol.2) by Kočo from Trnava’s very own Kubík club is now revealed

… and here’s the short story about its origin … I’ve been a fan of Kočo’s ‘neo-reneissance’ body impaling paintings since I discovered his Instagram so I was really excited when he agreed to create the artwork for Vol.2 … my only request was to have an apple included somewhere … and now the interesting part, Kočo took this assignment seriously and he dug deep – he has studied history of an apple and of its past portrayals (well, obviously except for those biblical ones) and discovered that apples originate from Kazakhstan … when (unsuccessfully) looking for a typical Kazakhstan font while listening to dungeon-synth music Kočo has combined his own imagination of Kazakhstan/oriental motive with his dark dungeon-synth idea of a dark castle which is how the logo of Jablká & Doom Vol.2 came to life…

... this motive will also be used for the digital release (to be published weekly from 13th November to 31st December via Bandcamp!!) … MC limited release (exp. in Jan/Feb 2022) has its own artwork with working title “William Tell’s Untold Story” and it’s pure magic. Thanks Kočo, this is some awesome shit man…

Moi j'aurais facilement parler ici de post-hardcore. Tant c'est "déconstruit". Une ambiance de dystopie urbaine, avec ces guitares lourdes et cette voix qui n'est déjà presque plus humaine, qui a l'air de sortir parfois de mégaphone. Un OSNI, et chaque titre a l'air de naître d'une expérience. Point fort: cette originalité, cet air de "jamais entendu". baudelagon
